Pyro 2 Walkthrough and Review
Ah..., Pyro 2. After winning everyone's hearts in Pyro, Damijin has released it's sequel, Pyro 2! Pyro 2 features 50 levels, and a ton of player made levels to keep you playing forever, seriously, forever, just hit the ''Player Levels'' button and your on your ways to hours of fun! And now with the new Level Sharing API, you can ''share'' your levels with the WORLD! By my count there has already been 4030 level submitted as of right now, so join the fun, create your own level, share it with the world, let people rate it, even give your level a description!
Moving on now! Like all games Pyro 2 has it's up and downs. Let's start with the ups, well, obvisually the Level Sharing API that first appeared in Hexiom Connect is simply amazing. That's really one of the biggest features for Pyro, more people are going to come to your game if there's that addictiveness, where you can share things with other people, and really to be creative, and have someones opinion. Not to mention that people can check out your Game Contributions'', on your profile and see all of your awesome levels you've made in the past!
Pyro, really has one of the most creative ideas, for a game I've ever seen. Most games are a rip-off of a rip-off, but I've seen not a single game that even comes close to Pyro is comparison. Sure theres a lot of games requiring the perfect aim, but Pyro's is different in some special unique ways. If you have not yet played Pyro, your goal is to set a specified number of torches on fire each level. Note that each level is ace-able and rewards you with more ''Player levels''. You can also get some items along the ways in some levels, these items may make the fireball small, bouncier, and many more effects!
Pyro 2 also has some great graphics! Like anyone else I love great graphics, who doesn't! Great graphics to me is something along the lines of ''Retro''. I just can't get enough of those games, but I also enjoy game graphics such as in Fragger or Pyro. Pyro's graphics are really not too complicated, but obvisually were worked on long and hard. They're calming in a sence, a simple black background, nothing real complicated like I said, but games don't need to be magnificent in artwork to be great, they need to be fun and simple and I think Pyro did a great job of this.
Sound, sound, sound. Pyro has great sound effects. Everything from the fireball hitting the wall to burning boxes, Pyro has it all. These sound effects are flawless! Yes, flawless. All the sounds are there, all of them were perfected, to bring you the best of the best of sounds and quality. There may be a few games that exceed these sounds, but these aren't too bad. Too bad there isn't any music too go along with everything!
Now the downs! The only thing I can possibly think of that is bad about this game is that it wasn't released around Christmas! The original Pyro was great in my mind because it was released near Christmas, it felt so Christmasy, you know? With all the warm torches and a giant fireball destroying everything, just so Christmasy! Well anyways go play Pyro 2 now! Or you could just play Pyro 1. (Don't worry your not missing any storyline by just skipping Pyro 1, but I do recommend playing it).
