Frantic 2: Review!

''A Meteor Attack in Frantic 2''

Frantic 2: Review!

Frantic 2. Never heard of it? Heard of Frantic, now your starting to remember! Frantic 2, the sequel is going to coming out, the release day has not yet been set though. Frantic for me was unforgettable! Every little detail was amazing, especially the boss battles! Frantic 2 as you can see, (if you remember Frantic) has been greatly approved a upon.

It's hard to make a review for a game that I have not yet played, but guessing how good Frantic was I will assume that this one is going to be even better! (I'm really setting high expectations for this game aren't I? ) Anyways Frantic 2 is going to be a must play! I'm guessing it's going to at least be in the top 50 games on Kongregate!

Moving onto a bit more about the game! In Frantic 2 there is going to be ''Stats and Feats''. This will track all sort of things such as kills, collecting money, possibly, and reward you with new ships, weapons, more slots for weapons and much, much more! You may even just unlock a new game mode to try out, such as ''Survival''. Seems like a lot, but I'm guessing Polymerrabbit has more up his sleeve.

This game seems to have it all, even ''Arcade'' mode! In ''Arcade mode you don't even have to look at the shop. ''Arcade'' buys everything automatically for you. I'm not totally positive how it goes, but it could be a disaster if you have no idea what your buying! Anyways I assume, that if you don't have a shop you blast your way though this game, never stopping! Sounds exciting doesn't it!

O.k now we are going onto one of the most classic modes ever! ''Bosses'' mode! As you may have already guessed, you must fight ever boss in a row! Considering there is about 45 of them, your in for a long sitting. Just like ''Arcade'' mode you will get automatic upgrades, or possibly you will be awarded new weapons, with each coming level. Anyways this sound like another exciting mode that will have you addicted forever. (Both ''Arcade'' and ''Bosses'' will be available once you start playing the game!)

Survival...Just read about it, and it sounds crazy! Just crazy, you'll be in the fight of your life! O.k in ''Survival'' you must go through a totally normal level, oh wait did I say normal, I meant a level where enemies drop gold, and just drop gold, past your wildest fantasies! (Now your wondering what this has to do with survival, aren't you? Your thinking that I'm writing about something else, but then again if your not wondering that then I sound dumb, so just pretend you are, o.k!). Now with all that money, you go to the shop, spend it all and then you enter a deathmatch you simply cannot win! Just Survive as long as you can!

O.k now one of the last modes here is ''Endurance''! You may think you've played an endurance game before, but how about an hour long one? Yeah that's right play an hour full of insane bullet- dodging fun! You must play though EVERY level in Frantic 2! So you get the endurance and everything right? Now let me tell you a little bit how the levels are split up! There is 3 episodes in Frantic 2 each being 5 levels long, so ''Endurance mode is 15 levels long, being 3 episodes. Each episode in Endurance mode gets harder:
Episode 1: Easy
Episode 2: Medium
Episode 3: Hard

Well, here are a few screenshots from Polymerrabbit's blog:

(Note: Keep in mind a lot of this stuff isn't from the final game, its still being made, and there are just a few random enemies on screen. And the bullet patterns are just little tests.
~Polymerrabit

''It seems those trusty lasers in Frantic have turned on you!''

As you might be able to tell, the enemy in the center of the Screenshot, fires lasers at you. The ''Laser'' enemy can rotate making it even harder to dodge! I have not played the game yet but I'm guessing that you can easily destroy the ''Laser''

The next thing the screenshot shows in the ''Rocket'' enemy. As you can guess this enemy fires rockets, but not just any ordinary rockets, there homing! These rockets will continue to fallow you for a few seconds, until they ''deactivate''. I've always wanted this in a game like Frantic. Homing Rockets always seems to add a little more fun to the game!

'These two enemies are really going to add a lot to the game. It seems the more special attacking enemies you have the better the game is. In Frantic 2 there is going to be 7 different special enemies.

''The game keeps getting better doesn't it?''

This attack is called the ''Rocket Bomb''. (Note that this isn't the full thing, considering most of the enemies are already dead). This attack will hit every enemy on the screen! Pretty fun to watch, right, but even more fun to watch when the screen is full of enemies! Man, I can't wait to try that one out! This attack will literally do all the work for you, considering they are homing! So your returning the favor, aren't you? They toss a few measly Rockets at you and then you toss a fleet back at them!

Just another thing I want to add about this ''Bomb Attack''. Look at the artwork put into it. The smoke effect, the fade effect and you can forget the overly large explosion that comes afterwards!

Pixel: Walkthrough and Review

Pixel: Walkthrough and Review!

If any game is going to get achievements any time soon it better be Pixel (Created by: agame). Pixel is shooter, similer to Dodge, a popular game earlier this year, created by moogoat. In Pixel you get to pick your avatar, each one having a different way the pixels deflect off them. There are 8 ships to unlock, each one is fairly easy to acquire.

Moving onto more of the gameplay. In Pixel you are a little ship, during the game you must destroy other enemies (Such as the picture above). Each time you destroy an enemy, pixels are left behind. These pixels are vital to make combos, and unlocking more ships or avatars! The way these pixels work is the when you hit them with your ship, they will fly into different directions hitting other enemies and giving you more HP. Note: that the directions that the pixels go are determined by what ship you are using. Each time you fire you lose pixels, but that is a small price for the fireworks of explosions when you hit something, giving you more pixels then you originally had.

The best way to earn points in Pixel, is to dodge enemies while the screen fills up with even more of them. Once you feel that you have had enough dodging and just want to see a huge display of fireworks, start firing at the enemies. This will cause a huge chain reaction, most likely blowing up everything on the screen. (My highest combo from doing that was 75, can you beat my score?) Higher combos mean more points, more points means more ships, more ships means a whole lot more fun!

''A 62 point combo, in the game Pixel''
The ships in Pixel each have there own unique way of firing pixels. Each ship works differently because of this. So find the one you like! I personally like the 3rd one best, feels like your in more control. The starting ships aren't bad either. I would suggest the 1st one if your just starting just because your probably going to have a better aim with that, than firing backwards.

Once you have beaten Pixel make sure to check out some of the ''Bonuses'' such as ''Deep Sea'' or ''Neon''. You can even change the pixel size! There are 7 different modes in the ''Bonuses'' section, each one you have to unlock, but don't worry they only require that you get an HP score of 1,000. So definitally a lot of customizability in Pixel. So, why don't you go play Pixel right now!

Well here's a walkthrough, even though the game is pretty strait-forward, Tasselfoot made a walkthrough, so here it is:

The Bigs to Bigs 2 Slam Challenge!

The Bigs to Bigs 2 Slam Challenge

It's been a long time since we have had a ticket challenge, (Actually we havn't had one since March 23rd, 2009). To earn the ticket and for your chance to win an Xbox 360 and a copy of ''The Bigs 2'' you must win 3 career games in CrunchBall 3000! Aside from the ticket challenge, CrunchBall 3000 was also awarded with 4 achievements!

CrunchBall 3000 is a pretty strait-forward game. First you customize your team, and then pick you formation! People often compare this game to Rugby, *Glances over Google Images real quick* Yeah pretty much like Rugby! Or if you don't know what Rugby is (like me until a few second ago), Compare it to Football! So pretty much you goal is to run the ball to the end zone and to stop the enemy at all cost to not score on you! So there is 5 divisions, you must place 1st in each division to move on. Between games you can upgrade you characters!

Controls:
(Note: These controls can easily be changed in the ''Options'' menu, by going to ''1 player Controls''.)

WASD keys to move
G: Throw Ball/ Tackle
H: Pass/Tackle
J: Change Formation

Prizes:
The Grand Prize winner will receive an Xbox 360, along with a copy of ''The Bigs 2''
4 other winners will receive a copy of ''The Bigs 2''

The Bigs 2
It’s the last stop. The final destination. The big show. It’s where dreams born in backyards are finally realized. Where the fences are farther. The grandstands are larger. And the spotlight is brighter. It’s where thieves run faster, pitchers throw harder and the sluggers go deeper. Where the bats are bigger, the spikes are sharper and the comebacks are harder to swallow. It’s where home runs are ruthian and fastballs catch fire. It’s where a monster lurks in left. Where bombers terrorize the night. And where the confines aren’t always so friendly. It’s the bigs. And everything about them just got bigger.

(This is not the fine print, what are you talking about? This is just something you thought you should read because someone was trying to hide something from you, or maybe you already knew this was a pointless message. Your still reading, have you earned that ticket yet, ... no? What do you mean ''No''! Go play CrunchBall right now, or are you going to continue reading this? I mean this is totally pointless, but you still reading, you find this fun, don't you? Now go play CrunchBall, I'll even leave a link for you to the game: Click Me. What, You stll failed to click the link, What am I going to do with you, I give up! Just click ''this'' it will help you! Just kidding, o.k just go play the game now!)

New Feature!

New Feature!

Hexiom Connect recently received a new feature so that you can now rate and share levels! Forget that old copy and paste the code into a box, now you just open up a menu, hit the play button and it's all ready!

So this is how simple it is the load a level:
1. Load Hexiom Connect
2. At the main menu click ''Load a level''
3 Pick the level you want to play and hit '' Play Now!''

Really easy right! This idea will spread to many games soon such as Free Rider 2, MeatBoy and other games that allow you to create your own levels! Once you have created a level, if you want to share it, click ''arrange'' and then ''shuffle'' if you haven't already. Then click ''Save level''! You can now add a name and a description, now save your level! Once you have done this other people will be able to play your levels and rate them!

So this new feature makes it so people can share there levels without that load code that you had to copy and paste into a box! (Suddenly I'm having Déja vu, about this whole level sharing thing...). Probaby the coolest part of all this (For me) is that you get a point every time you rate a Hexiom level that someone made! I'm not sure how the point system will go for this, is it going to be like the collabs (10 points a week), or will it be like rating games where there is a set limit per day, anyways it will be awesome overall! So please give this new feature a try, you can find it here!

Fragger Walkthrough and Review

Fragger: Walkthrough and Review!

Fragger is that addictive, blow up the enemy game that we all seem to like! So pretty much you throw fragmentation grenades to blow up all the enemies on the screen to advance to the next level. Pretty simple concept, right! Even though this game is about blowing things up, and stuff, this is a puzzzle game. At some levels you may have to try many different ideas, until you find one that works.

Fragger has 30 levels to offer, and 3 difficulties! Each difficulty is unlocked after completing the difficulty before it, going in order of Normal, Hard and Elite! Each level has a limited amount of grenades you can use. Luckily none of the Kongregate badges are for completing the game in Elite, which you would have to beat the game 3 times, (even though the game is pretty fun!). After completing each difficulty, you get a new perk or upgrade.

Fragger also has 11 in-game achievements! You can check them all out at the main menu of the game under achievements, or I could just tell you!

1. Grenadier: 1
Terminate 15 enemies.
2. Grenadier: 2
Terminate 30 enemies.
3. Grenadier: 3
Terminate 60 enemies.
4. Fragmaster-Novice
Complete the game on Normal Difficulty.
5. Fragmaster-Advance
Complete the game on Hard Difficulty.
6. Fragmaster Elite
Beat the game on Elite Difficulty.
7. 2 Grunts, 1 Stone
Terminate 2 enemies with one grenade.
8. Beat'em up
Hit an enemy with grenades 7 times.
9. Red Rose
Enrage an enemy.
10. Dead Ross
Terminate an enraged enemy.
11. Down and out.
Terminate an enemy by knocking him/her out of bounds

Fragger, is a pretty addictive game, making me replay the game 3 times to beat all the difficulties. I rarely, will I go back and finish up all the extras in the game, (or in this case all the difficulties)! For some strange reason this game never gets boring, and the replay value of all the perks really add to it! Not many games have used this idea that I have seen, so I guess that's why this game is rated so high ( 4.11, as of July 17th)

Among the many great things Fragger has to offer is the graphics. The game was very well thought out in graphic wise. Everything seems to react if they are blown up, such as crates, and breakable walls are so detailed when they blow up. Even though this game is pretty violent, the graphics, make everything seem cute and nice, but in reality your blowing up evil, henchmen with
fragmentation grenades, with no mercy! Yeah, about that.... Anyways have fun playing Fragger!

(Just toke a 10 minute break and found an mistake in Fragger, here exactly what I said if you want to know what the mistake was about:
Hey, Harito! You know in Elite difficulty how your only allowed the lowest possible amount of grenades to beat each level, right? Well on level 4, it gives you 2 grenades and I figured out how to blow up both enemies with one grenade! So please fix this!''

And I'll tell you all exclusively how I did it: ''O.k so first you fire with very low power at the crate on the grass, make sure the grenade is right next to the crate on the grass, o.k? Then once the grenade goes off, the other crate on top of the building will be fire at the first enemy start a chain reaction of events, knocking both enemies off the screen, in 1 grenade! So please change the count of grenades on level 4 of elite difficulty to 1 grenade! Please tell me if you do!''). I told this all to Harito (creator of Fragger) so that why I say ''Hey Harito!'' Back to the review....(which is now finished!)

As a summarary, Fragger is an addictive game that you will at least come back and beat Hard mode, if not Elite! It's great graphic, physics and half way original idea make it one of the highest rated game on Kongregate! Fragger has 3 perks/upgrades that will add on to your gameing experience through-out the 30 levels. This game is never frustrating, unlike Cargo Bridge (evil Cargo Bridge)! So please give this game a chance and play it here!

Tips:

1. Here are pictures of all the blocks so you know what they do:

Crate:

Info
: Just a normal old crate

Explosives:

Info: This crate will explode when the grenade blows up near it. Sometimes causing a chain reaction!

Ticking Time Bomb:

Info: When hit by the grenade this block will fly in whatever direction it is pointing, and will explode in 1 second!

Bonus Block:

When this block is blown up, you will be rewarded 1,000 points!

BridgeCraft Walkthrough and Review!

BridgeCraft game Walkthrough and Review!

BridgeCraft is a fun, little, cartoony styled game! Your goal in this game is to build a bridge for the alien creature to safely to the other side, but will your bridge be set up perfectly enough for the alien to cross?

The gameplay of BridgeCraft is to simply build a bridge with the ''Deck'' pieces. You will also need supports, like ''Steel'', or ''Rope''. Note: that you will have to use the ''Deck'' piece every level, for it is the only piece the aliens can stand on. The aliens can go through both the ''Steel'' and the ''Rope'' for they are supports. This game may seem simple and easy at first, but than you start to realize the budget in later levels, stopping you from doing the easiest way to complete a level to a risky idea.

Moving on now. BridgeCraft has over 70 levels to offer and 2 difficulties, Easy and Normal! Now if your the person that enjoys a challenge you should go with Normal! In Normal mode the aliens are heavier, making the bridges collapse more often! But if you want the game to be easy and relaxing I would go with Easy mode. Each level in this game seems to be very different, even though the same idea is used throughout the game, because every level seems to have a unique way to complete. Some levels you might be swinging on a deck only supported by a small rope, hung above you, and other levels you may just make it to safety, before your bridge collapse!

One of the many great things BridgeCraft has to offer is the graphics! Everything is so detailed I sometimes stare into the background of the game. Even though these graphics are ''cartoony'' they look great! The graphics make this game great, (and the music). The game graphics almost remind me of The Several Journeys of Reemus, sometime so strange...

BridgeCraft is a pretty easy game overall. In Easy mode I was maybe stuck on one or two levels, due to lack of funding. I also completed Normal mode, finding that one once again, easy, only getting stuck on a few levels due to lack of supports or funding. Anyways, you probably shouldn't have too many problems! But if you do get stuck, you read it right, this is a Walkthrough and Review!

Let me just sum this game up. So BridgeCraft is a pretty addictive game! After completing easy I then completed Normal mode. BridgeCraft has great graphics and music, which immediately grabbed my attention! This game is like Cargo Bridge, but without the cargo and frustration! Anyways you can play BridgeCraft here! Have fun!
